@VideoJoeKnows No prob. One last thing, it is a fact that this furniture is harder on the environment ithan iff you use the same amount of wood as solid wood furniture.

All the fuel, chemicals, bonding agents and processing used to make this garbage is quite toxic for our air. On the top that, this particleboard shite lasts about 25% than regular wood furniture.

BTW added as friend and subbed, you could do the same if it isnt too much of a deal. ;)

    Regards, SW2025.

@SpaceWars2025 I would agree that this type of furniture is not near as good as the real deal….however, if you’re on a budget & have no other choice, I still wanted to show how to adjust the drawers to make the cabinet look as good as it can. It’s also a good idea to not move this type of furniture very often, as it has the tendency to sway & get out of whack, as these types of cabinets are built with mostly covered particle board materials. Thanks for commenting. Joe :0

@VideoJoeKnows No problem! This furniture is crap.. like that walmart dressers in a box. Those old entertainment stands are fun to smash. You drop em off a truck (at the dump of course) the right way, [usually a direct hit on the bottom heaviest corner] and ya got yourself a stacked wooden pancake meal! :p

Anhyoo, the finishing nails they always give you are smooth and pop out to easily. Such a corporate scam this furniture is. Move it once and the damn things are toast. Like ikea crap.

@SpaceWars2025 These cabinet drawers came un-assembled from the hardware store. All of these particular drawers are made the same. It’s best, on these manufactured un-assembled cabinets, to assemble them like the directions shown, with the materials & hardware as provided. That’s what “joe” did here. I agree with you when you say to assemble the cabinet right the first time, in order to get the best life out of it. Thanks for your comments. :0

The two middle drawers aren’t like the top and bottom because the heavy stock solid cardboard back support isn’t perfectly nailed on.

Its best to lay these particle board pieces face down and nail the back support on with galvanized finishing nails.

Even use a clamp to make sure the frame is perfectly straight (square). Or a square. This prevents premature warping in humid places.

You have to assemble this furniture perfect to get the best life out of it.

Congratulations–you did a fabulous job of restoration. these houses are jewels of history that should be kept. you made it functional, marketable and beautiful while maintaining its integrity– what more could one ask for?

I remember it was around 1950 square feet. Some 1200 on the original house in 1927, more added later in the 40′s or 50′s. Post some vids of your remodel projects.

Be very proud of the job you did. I love the floor and wall combination. The skirting is something that I will look at doing on my next project. The house seems very large on the inside but from outside, not so big. How large is the house?

Thanks for posting such a wonderful before, during and after video. If others would do the, it would make understanding what they did much easier.

Good lord this house goes on forever! I have a 1935 bungalow. Wish I could do this kind of stuff there but no way possible. Just not enough room.

Thanks, spend around 4 months doing this one. While it was for a resale (flipping is for those people on TV), I put a ton of TLC doing the job right. I got a bit tired at the end and contracted some tile work and painting.
