@111outback How did you resolve the problem with the welded nuts at the bottom of your faucet? (It was headache enough for me loosening nuts not welded.)
I’ve never changed a faucet before, found this video great! The only problems I had was that the morons that installed the old faucet had decided to WELD the nuts that hold the faucet in place lol! Once I got that all dealt with, installation was quite simple! Thanks for the instructions!
I switched the faucets in my bathroom (although I had no idea or never have done so)and had to watch a few videos on here to get a good idea of what to expect but the only way to do it is just to do it yourself and lean off your mistakes. After I switched the first one, the defintely felt more confident with the second. These videos are a very brief tetorial.
not a bad video but most faucets that come with a plastic gasket like that say not to use putty and use a silicone based sealer instead. Also after you open the faucet to make sure the water is turned off close it again when you disconnect the supply lines so it holds the water in the faucet and you wont need to catch it in a bucket or have it follow the lines back down into your ceiling.
I noticed that they used the plumbers putty on a cultured marble sink. IIRC, plumbers putty causes cultured marble to crack and discolor over time. you should use silicone to seal around your faucet instead of plumbers putty.
Doesn’t spend any time at all describing how to install the waste pipe. FAIL.

Thanks Mike
Agreed. How about slowing down a bit and showing the actual steps. And notes like, ‘hey maybe you’ll need plumber’s tape’ aren’t really helpful.
This video should be titled “What a faucet looks like after installation.”
I don’t mean to sound rude, but I wish he had shown more of the actual installation, as that is why I watched this “how to” video in the first place.
Hey! That old faucet looks like mines. I can’t wait to replace it!!!
well said. This is mentioned in HomeDeopt’s how to vedio.
LOWE’S videos are so well made! They definitely gives the store a good impression to homeowners.
