@naturalsight yes i orded my glasses from there, i love there website, they made my glasses look much better than my old ones, i have my old glasses which are 2.0 below my prescription right now, i sumtimes wear them, thanks for the head ups
@8swordedninja — Awesome! Find a website called zennioptical, for an inexpensive source for weaker glasses. Going without glasses some (weird at first but you’ll grow to like it) and reduced glasses when you can get by with them, this will help your eyes relax more.
@semasiologistics — It’s a strange world. Many things that are claimed to be so, are not so. And many things that are claimed to be not true, are true. Almost always a study will reveal exactly what the researcher wants it to reveal. Many people have done many things that studies say can’t be done, including healing their eyesight. I am an engineer and in my early years did research studies. It was baffling and amusing and troubling how easy it was to fool myself with REAL data.
@8swordedninja — This is a very strong nearsighted prescription. You can reach your goal definitely. But realize that your whole personality is built around being nearsighted and qualities like wanting to do things perfectly, that are part of your identity. The muscles in your neck, chest, and shoulders are very tight, and you want to breathe much more deeply. Be a detective. Follow yourself around, discover your nearsighted habits, and be very committed to changing them, and you will succeed.
@Silvoleon — yes it works well for astigmatism. The Bates model indicates that the six muscles around the eyes strain in various ways to create various conditions, and this approach uses relaxation and gentle reactivation techniques to help those muscles relax and let go.
@naturalsight is it okay if i wear my glasses while im in school? i really want to improve my eyesight. it can kind of change my future due to my career choice.
@ehoewee Can you do this if you have type 1 diabetes? Yes, definitely. You already know that exercise, better diet, and less stress are helpful. The eyes and vision can steal a lot of energy all through the body if you are straining to see. Vision is a huge part of our neurological expression as we interact with the world. The Bates Method helps to dissolve this strain. Most people who improve their eyesight with the Bates Method also find other symptoms improving as well.
@naturalsight i am only 13 and i have a pretty strong prescription (left eye 8.0 right eye 10.25) and i really want to reduce the prescription to about 1-4.0, can u help me on what to do?
@letsgetinshape – Consider this… what if your brain feels a bit wary that it might get hurt again. Some energy healing approaches would suggest a lot of deep breathing exercises and visualizations to help the cells let go of that fear, or strain, or tightness that inhibits natural function. The Bates techniques are good for this because they are so relaxing. Also check out simple and powerful approaches like EFT. Constantly imagine your eyes feeling safe, relaxed and easily seeing straight.
@ulfan1995 – Yes, you are encouraging and allowing your eyes to remember their natural relaxed way of seeing. Usually this takes time because it is such a strong habit to strain the vision. But sometimes people have an “aha” and a sudden improvement, where the mind and muscles suddenly remember how to relax.
What sort of exercises will help my eyes line up exact? I have cerebellum damage and have gone through lots of therapy in the past…. and starting to think the therapy weakened my eyes; right eye looks up and left eye looks down somewhat… both look somewhat inward…I don’t want this to get any worse…
@ssarke — yes good question. if you wear full strength glasses all the time, it’s like trying to rehab an injured leg while it has a cast or a brace on it, you won’t make much progress. Always wear glasses to be legal and safe for driving. Beyond that, go without them when comfortable and/or use a reduced prescription when it is sufficient for the task at hand. Keep extending those times as your eyes become more confident. Each person has different eyes and a different lifestyle to navigate.
@Musicmixer1994 — it sounds like your eyes have very different strength prescription. get a trusted friend to talk to you while you wear a patch over your better eye, then your weaker eye will go right to them. (you probably know this). talk and enjoy the eye contact for a couple of minutes, then without the patch for just a few seconds. “talk” to your eye kindly as if you were talking to a child. encourage it, praise it, thank it. send it your love. contact me thru website above if you like.
Everybody’s talking about this, but non of you say what about wearing glasses. How much glasses someone need to wear maximum in the day? When looking TV or computer, glasses? are needed…So… Someone doing these exercises, but HOW MUCH and WHEN someone need to wear glasses…?? If anybody now…
I am “cockeyed” and i kind of hate talking to people and they keep looking to the sides to see if im talking to someone else! So im gunna try this but i was gunna say my left eye is like -14 or idk but really bad & my right is like -4 but please send me a personal message explaining this and ill look at my contacts case and see the numbers because the -14 & -4 were estimated guesses! Thanks!
In 2004 the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) published a review of various research regarding “visual training” (or the “Bates method), which consisted of “eye exercises, muscle relaxation techniques, biofeedback, eye patches, or eye massages”, “alone or in combinations”. No evidence was found that such techniques could objectively benefit eyesight. Google it and see for yourself.
@1MeKilla1 and flymilad93 : yes , i’m really serious , i don’t want to joke about this ! i don’t know if it works for everybody but i doubt that it can’t , because i have got myopia until i’m 6 years old , and every doctors always told me that improving my vision is not possible because my eyes are too long , and i have got the real myopia …
@8swordedninja — Excellent! you are on the right track!
